Welcome to the fourth instalment of my monthly insta-updates! In case you missed last month’s, this is a time where I update what I’ve been up to by sharing what I’ve been doing on Instagram! I find it fun, and I’ve always hated the boring posts that are just long essays of “what I’ve been up to” from bloggers. So I’m throwing in some pictures to make it more interesting!
So September was crazy.
I didn’t even see it end. I swear, school just came in, tore up my life, and then, well, decided to move in for the next 8 months I guess.
That being said, I’m absolutely loving my last year of my undergrad. I can’t even explain it–somehow, even though I have 10x more work than last year, I’m not experiencing nearly as much anxiety or stress of any kind. I’m just kind of dealing with it in a healthy way, I guess (this is completely new to me, so give me time to process what it means to actually be experiencing a healthy amount of stress).
On top of school craziness, though, a lot has been going on in Lindenbach-land! (Lindenland? I like that.) I finally got my area all set up in the apartment and finally feel moved in. The last bag of stuff from the condo I was living in finally got brought over here, and I can at last call this place my home.
On top of that craziness, though, my sister moved to Ottawa!!!
Yep! She’s in my old place, and I’m so happy we’re finally in the same city again. :) We even go to the same school! Completely different faculties, but still! It’s so great.
Since school was starting, I really got into making snacks for Connor and myself these last few weeks. I’ve become unhealthily obsessed with making Lemon Poppyseed loaf, and made 3 loaves over the span of 10 days so, needless to say, I decided I needed to find a new snack to make (I don’t think either of us want to eat anything lemon for a good, long time).
So I started to look at granola bars!
I’m starting to become a bit of a food hoarder, so granola bars are a great way to use up nuts and fruits lying around! I’m loving these ones, but I want to tweak the recipe a little and then maybe share it with you all! Cooking is such an integral part of college if you want to stay within a budget, so I think I’m going to try to get more into the cooking side of blogging over the next few months. We’ll see. ;)
Maybe the most fun part of the whole month was getting our wedding pictures back!!
Honestly the photos were just so amazing. I’m thinking of doing a post about Connor and my story, since so many of you have asked about it, so I might do that as a quick weekend post sometime, not taking up space from my regular college/lifestyle related ones. But it would be a nice way to show you guys some of the amazing pictures that my photographer took. :) Plus I really like showing them off.
In case you didn’t know, I have a Nana who knits. A lot. She is also a very generous person, and this month her generosity was lavished upon us in the form of bags and bags of yarn.
My friends and I are very happy about this.
Overall, this was a great month. It was definitely a month of adjustments, but a good one. And I’m happy with where I am in life. I’m happy living in Ottawa, walking distance from parliament. I’m happy to be living in a cute little apartment with the most wonderful man, and to be able to have sister dates where we can just hang out at tourist attractions like it’s no big deal.
Yup, life is good y’all. How was your September?
Make sure to follow me on instagram to join the fun! I’d love to connect with you!
