9 Cheap & Easy Dorm Decorating Ideas

26 Aug
Let’s be real: it can be hard to come up with great ideas for small rooms, especially dorm rooms that leave little to creativity.

Connor and I moved into a one-bedroom apartment that is not all that big, and there are a few practical and cute ways that I’ve managed to increase storage without becoming cluttered that I wanted to share with you all today! 13 Reasons to Join a Christian Group on Campus

21 Aug
If you’re going to school in the fall or if you’re going into last year, and haven’t gotten involved with a campus Christian fellowship group, DO!

I cannot stress how much of an impact the IVCF group on campus at my school has had on my life. I always knew that it would be important to me, of course. Actually, one of the reasons I chose my school was because I knew that it had great Christian groups on campus, and I am so happy I did!

There are some reasons in particular that I think that you should join a campus Christian fellowship group, so I hope that these convince you, because trust me, you won’t look back!

10 Ways to Get Organized This School Year

19 Aug
Let’s just say it how it is: college is hectic and it’s almost impossible sometimes to get organized and stay that way.

At least, that’s how it definitely feels. I’ve been at the point where I look at my syllabus and realize that I have 3 assignments due in one week and I haven’t done laundry in almost a month and don’t even get started on exercise…

And although I definitely still felt stress, there is something about knowing what you’re facing that adds some peace to your life, and I want to share that with you.

So here are the ten things that I did to get organized.

The Freshman’s Guide to College Day 10: Staying in Touch with Family & Friends

14 Aug
Today is the last instalment of The Freshman’s Guide to College, and we’re finishing by talking about how to maintain relationships with family and friends after you move away.

Everything we’ve talked about so far has been strictly about your new life at college, but what about the people we leave behind? It’s equally just as important to stay in contact with your family as it is to make new friends. Your family is always going to be there for you, and if we’re honest, unless you end up working in the same place as your college friends they’re probably not.

Friends are important, too! Your friends from high school know a part of you that your college friends will never truly understand. Your experiences in high school and the world you grew up in has become a part of your past, but those friends understand that part of your life like no one else will can.

13 Aug

Welcome to the Freshman’s Guide to College! We’re 9 days in, and this is the second-last post!

All of the other posts in this series are vital, but time management is what ties them all together!

The most important piece of guaranteeing success in college (as much as is possible), in my opinion, is learning how to manage your time wisely. Without good time management skills, you will never be able to just enjoy your college experience because trust me–stress will consume you! Time management was a hard lesson for me to learn, but this last semester I finally got on top of things and my stress level dropped when it came to making sure that all my work got done before exams came.

So here are my top tips and tricks to college student time management!
